    Stirling fell in love with Oregon Wine in the 1980’s, while in college and began his wine industry career in 1989.  By 1995 he founded, his first vineyard management company, which evolved in Stirling Wine Grapes, Inc (SWiG) in 2007.  Over the years, Stirling focused on growing the best possible quality fruit for dozens of Oregon winemakers.  SWIG currently grows fruit for 30-50 wine brands, each vintage and has become known throughout the industry, as a leader in helping craft the best fruit in the Willamette Valley.  Stirling loves animals, wild Oregon, the coast and of course rocks!

    OPERATIONS MANAGER

    Juan is the operations manager for SWiG, he brings over two decades of vineyard experience in his role. Juan manages a vast range of tasks from daily crew operations to new vineyard site development, and installations. His expertise in irrigation and water systems makes him integral for our vineyards successes. His colleagues and clients value his skill in promoting communication between owners and crews. In 2025, he was awarded a Vineyard Excellence Recognition for his hard work, commitment and respect for wine grape farming.

    Fergus Nancarrow

    SENIOR SUPERVISOR

    A product of New Zealand and Napa Valley’s wine country, Fergus has always had a strong conviction to have a career in wine growing. Armed with a degree in Viticulture & Enology from Washington State University, along with vineyard and winemaking experience in California, Oregon, Washington, and New Zealand, Fergus brings a diverse breadth of experience to SWiG’s wine growing operations. He is passionate about all facets of growing world-class wine grapes, which strongly resonates with SWiG’s company vision. At SWiG, Fergus assists the operations and viticultural teams with day-to-day site management.
